Fatal Brick Motorcycle Accident Claims Rider’s Life, Injures Others
A fatal motorcycle accident in Brick, New Jersey, claimed the rider’s life on Sunday morning. Shortly before 9 am, the crash occurred when a sedan was making a left turn into the Bay Harbor Plaza on Brick Boulevard and collided with the motorcycle. Upon impact, the sedan overturned, trapping the motorist and passenger in the vehicle. The car occupants sustained personal injuries and received medical treatment at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center while the motorcyclist succumbed to his fatal injuries at the scene of the Brick motorcycle accident.
Excessive speed allegedly contributed to the fatal Brick motorcycle accident, but other factors may cause an accident like this to take place. Intoxicated driving, drowsy driving, and distracted driving may result in serious injuries or fatalities for any vehicle occupants involved. Due to the lack of safety features present in a motorcycle and the open nature of bikes, riders may be more vulnerable in a crash than others who ride in enclosed vehicles.
