Edison Tractor-Trailer Crash on Route 1 Causes Multiple Injuries
A tractor-trailer crash in Edison, New Jersey caused multiple injuries for several victims. Around 5:20 pm, on Wednesday evening, the chain reaction accident occurred on Route 1 when a tractor-trailer driver lost control of the vehicle and hit at least eight other cars including a minivan that was rear-ended. Ten victims sustained a range of injuries including one victim who is in critical condition. Many vehicle occupants became trapped in their vehicles after the tractor-trailer crash.
Oftentimes, danger follows a serious accident with a tractor-trailer and may cause serious injuries as well as potential fatalities for any parties involved. Driving a tractor-trailer requires experience and extensive training, and if the driver does not possess those qualifying factors, they may fail to operate the truck safely and engage in a devastating crash. Even a skilled truck driver may find it challenging to maneuver a large truck amid congested highways.
