$1,000,000 Settlement for Commercial Truck Accident
On February 10, 2021, Marco Faria was driving his vehicle over the George Washington Bridge when a commercial truck struck his vehicle from behind. The commercial truck was being driven by Milton Jerez, who was working at the time for Anthony Logistics of Hudson County, LLC.
Mr. Faria suffered significant injury to his cervical spine resulting in a cervical fusion procedure. He also sustained a partial thickness tear to his right shoulder resulting in the need for a right shoulder arthroscopy with debridement. As a result of the crash, Mr. Faria was unable to continue his employment as a bakery manager.
Suit was filed against the defendants on November 18, 2022. The Plaintiff was represented by Robert J. Banas, Esq. and Barry R. Eichen, Esq. of Eichen Crutchlow Zaslow, LLP. The case was settled for the entire coverage of $1 million, which was allocated between the property damage, injuries and economic loss. The suit resolved in its entirety on February 12, 2024. The settlement was reached after an offer of judgment seeking the entire limits was filed along with a letter under Rova Farms Resort v. Investors Insurance Co. of America.
